On behalf of the Japan America Association of South Carolina, welcome to our website.
JAASC was created in 1988 due to the increasing number of Japanese-owned businesses establishing operations in South Carolina. Our mission is to promote a greater interest in and understanding of the culture and society of Japan and the United States through the operation of Japanese Saturday Schools and through meaningful social and cultural events.
Our Association has individual, corporate (both American and Japanese), and public sector members (including the Governor of South Carolina and the Consul-General of Japan from Atlanta). All of our members are committed to improving cultural understanding and building excellent friendships.
